Description:

((RP, WU/T friendly, no ERP))

Near-death experiences often serve as the activation, the trigger, for latent powers, some metahuman last gasp for survival. Other times, such experiences are an invitation to the powers in the beyond, faustian deals tying snares in the threads of fate, or simply eldritch parasites and scavengers taking up residence where they should not.

The near-death experience of Sophie Terrell was the birth of the strange creature calling itself "Slipsoul", a taciturn nightmare now acting as her dubious symbiotic protector, when her soul slips towards death once more.

Fear is the oldest survival mechanism.

((Partially to completely soulless))
