Description:

Arthur Berwyk prefers a life of peaceful farming, but fate has given him a rival that has again and again pressed him into action. Arthur and his rival, Mathias, have a feud spanning centuries with no real clear motivation for its continuation. The last time they fought was in the 1930s, where Mathias wreaked havoc under cover of dust storms on the High Plains. More recently Mathias has been working with the Devouring Earth, threatening the livelihoods of Arthur and his neighbors. Arthur has once again been forced into action, but this time he isn’t looking for revenge on Mathias, he’s looking to save his old rival before he’s devoured.
