Description:

In the 1960s, two pregnant women were in the maternity ward of a hospital in Patriot City when a ship piloted by the Dominion defector known as Mentor was shot down, scattering his payload of Energy X canisters across the city. The unborn children of these expecting mothers were both exposed to the power-granting substance, and their destinies would be forever intertwined; the narrative and thematic potential was just too good to go to waste. The villain Pyric, granted control over fire, and the hero Cryonis, granted control over ice, grew to be archrivals. Eventually Cryonis managed to defeat Pyric in battle, but in doing so overexerted his powers and put himself into stasis for several decades.

Ever the agent of chaos, Pyric tracked down his old rival after being sprung from Zigursky by Arachnos and was able to revive him (he was being used to cool a server room at D.A.T.A headquarters). The chase is on once again, as Cryonis pursues Pyric across Paragon City and the Rogue Isles.
