Though little is known about the origins of the Apparitions, it is well-documented that they appear to be beings of energy which seem to be powered by pure hatred. They seem almost human at times, as a form can sometimes be discerned in the swirl of energy that makes up their bodies, but no one is quite sure whether this is an illusion or not. The Ripped Spectre is a much stronger Apparition than other types, and is capable of merging into an even stronger form.
