The Vampyri are not true vampires at all. They are instead the ultimate result of the Council's super soldier program. It takes a full year of chemical treatments and surgical enhancements to create a single Vampyr, but the result is one of the most deadly killing machines in the world. All Vampyri have incredible strength, speed, and resilience. The Vampyr Mesmerist has potent hypnotic abilities that entrance enemies and render them helpless.
